19+ course fees and financial support

Financial support for 19-23 year olds.

Until you reach 19, your course will be paid automatically by government funding. Once you reach the age of 19 you will be required to pay the fees yourself. If however, you are aged between 19 and 23 and do not hold a Level 2 or 3 qualification, you may not have to pay the fees.

However, this rule does not apply to a 2nd year of a Level 3 qualification, where you will either have to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan, where the government pay the fees on your behalf, or pay the full fee yourself.

If you apply for an Advanced Learner Loan, the government will pay for the fees on your behalf whilst you are studying. Once your course has finished you will then be required to repay the loan (plus interest) once you earn more than £25,725 a year. Your annual re-payment amount will be 9% of any income you earn over £25,725. For course fee amounts, check the course page on our website or call our Admissions team on 01273 667704.
