Music and Media Industry Weekly Webinars
We're delighted to be hosting a series of five, weekly Music Industry Webinars with Q&As throughout March and April 2021. They are delivered in partnership with LOOKOUT and funded by Uni Connect.
The webinars are free and open to students at GB MET, other local sixth form and college students, and people in our wider community.
Inspirational voices from the global majority
In collaboration with LOOKOUT, we are running a series of free talks and workshops from people of colour in music and the performing arts. These are open to students at GB MET, other local college students and people in our wider community.
Talks and workshops include:

- Juwon Ogungbe Making Musical Theatre (Thursday 29 April 6-7pm)
- Prema Mehta: Lighting Designer and Founder of Stage Sight (Thursday 6 May 6-7pm)

- Nadia Khan: Woman in CTRL (Thursday 20 May 6-7pm)

Photography Spring School
Free photography course for 16-25 year olds. Dates: 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16 April
(10am - 3pm)
Work with photographic artist Lindsey Smith to gain an insight into studying photography:
- Build a photographic portfolio
- Gain technical and creative skills
- Participate in an outdoor photo shoot (optional)
- Review a range of virtual exhibitions
- Collaborate with other budding photographers
- Contribute to a public showcase
- Earn a Bronze Arts Award
In addition to tutor-led activities the course schedule will include independent study time to create a portfolio and pursue individual photography projects.

Design Culture: Twilight Lectures
Join our free online Design Culture Twilight Lecture Series this April and May hosted by Juliana Sissons. Open to GB MET students and our local community.
Art and Design National Saturday Club
The Art & Design Saturday Club offers an exciting and varied range of creative workshops taking advantage of the extensive facilities at the West Durrington Campus. The club is completely free and aimed at young people aged 13-16 who are interested in art and design.
Sessions take place on Thursdays from 4.30-6.30pm from October to July and we warmly welcome club members from across the area. We have strong links to the local community and work closely with community arts organisation Creative Waves and Worthing Artists Open Houses.

Art, Design and Making
This virtual course explores a variety of subjects and techniques that encourage students to stretch creative ideas and skills.
Students will learn art and design techniques and gain insight into the creative industries' broad and colourful world. Throughout the course, students also have the opportunity to complete a Bronze Arts Award.
Course tutor Nadia Chalk is a freelance illustrator/maker and Co-Director of Creative Waves Community Arts based in Worthing. Nadia's variety of skills have enabled her to work in fashion, graphics, publishing, theatre and events.
Make a Music Video
This 10-week online course is absolutely free. Gain insight from industry experts Hanni & Clara from Brighton based band 'arxx', founder and A&R for Tru Thoughts record label Robert Luis and musician, producer and singer Joe Felix.
Learn how to make, produce and share your own music video using your mobile phone and easy-to-access editing software

Led by industry professionals, the creative workshops and industry talks provide a taster of studying at a higher level for MET students and external participants, as well as offering an opportunity to explore a new subject area.
