Professional accounting qualifications for adults

Accountancy courses at GB MET

Our accountancy and AAT qualifications will give you the head-start or career progression you need to become a fully qualified accountant. The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) is the leading professional body for accountancy and a nationally recognised awarding-body. We offer study programmes from Level 1 Bookkeeping to Level 4 and a number of apprenticeships. Our classes are taught online and on campus at our Brighton and Worthing sites.

We appreciate that the pace of everyday life is getting faster, which is why we’ve looked for new ways of teaching our ATT courses – ways that make it easier to study alongside work and life commitments. We have worked in partnership with Mindful Education to create a suite of blended learning courses that provide flexible study options, combining online learning with face-to-face lessons in the classroom.

Lifetime Skills Guarantee for Level 3 AAT courses

From April 2021, Level 3 AAT courses are eligible to be fully funded as part of the Lifetime Skills Guarantee. If you're over the age of 24 and this is your first full level 3 qualification then you may be eligible to study this course for free. Terms and conditions apply.

Online and On Campus – the best of both worlds

Online video lectures are available on demand, and can be viewed from your phone, tablet or computer. Lessons last for around 45 minutes and are accompanied by animations and motion graphics to bring concepts to life. Exercises, interactive case studies and analytical tools help to enhance the learning experience further.

On campus, you benefit from regular college classes – without having to commit to attending multiple evenings each week. Experienced tutors will discuss and reinforce what you have learnt during your online study and are on hand to provide guidance on progress and assessment. Discussion and debate with classmates will help you apply theories to situations you face in the workplace.

Note regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19): Due to the nature of our Online and On Campus courses, with key concepts being taught online through high-quality video lectures, students are able to continue their studies seamlessly with social distancing in
place. Some of the regular ‘On Campus’ lessons can be replaced by remote ‘virtual classroom’ sessions led by college tutors. This flexible approach can be easily adapted to suit government guidance and college policies.

"Blended learning means I can have a good work-life-family balance. If I didn’t study in this way, then I wouldn’t be able to do my qualifications."
Faye McPhillips, Online and On Campus student
