Fine Art student selected for Graduate Award
MET Fine Art graduate Ross Partleton has been selected for the Phoenix Art Space's Platform Graduate Award for the second consecutive year.
Ross' work, which pays homage to his home town of Littlehampton, will be exhibited at the Phoenix Art Space’s Main Gallery in Brighton from 9 October to 7 November 2021.
The next phase of the Platform Award will see Ross and three other selected finalists go in front of a panel of judges, including a renowned guest judge. Past guest judges have included Rosalind Nashashibi, 2020 artist in residence for the National Gallery, and 2019 Turner Prize joint winner Tai Shan.

Founded in 2012 by CVAN South East (Contemporary Visual Arts Network South East) to run in the South East region, the Platform Graduate Award is an initiative created to encourage up and coming graduate artists in their first year after graduation, when artists are most in need of recognition and opportunities. showcasing the work of winners in a partnership between four galleries. The award also includes a £2,000 bursary and 12 months of mentoring support for one of the nominated artists.
