Students selected for UAL exhibition
Students from across creative industries courses at GB MET were selected to exhibit their work at this year’s UAL awarding body exhibition, Origins Creatives 21.
Two Level 3 Art & Design Diploma students, Indigo and Libby; Level 3 Photography Diploma student; Xiomara; and a group of seven Level 3 Design for Theatre, Film & TV Diploma students have had their work selected.
Indigo exhibited a vibrant, abstract portrait entitled Out of the Chaos (acrylic on canvas using a pallet knife), and Xiomara exhibited a seascape and structure, mixing reality and fantasy in a composite photograph. Libby’s video exploring social injustice, and theatre design student Clodah’s music video for Smoke by the band Outline, were also exhibited; first as extracts as part of the live YouTube event, and now in full on the UAL awarding body YouTube channel.
Celebrating the next generation of creatives, Origin Creatives 21 accepted submissions from all colleges offering UAL awarding body qualifications, and all subject areas, culminating in a virtual exhibition, YouTube live event and SoundCloud playlist.
