Why study this course?

This course will allow you to develop a range of advanced skills in financial and managament accounting and budgeting. You will study two optional units, allowing you to concentrate on specialist areas of accountancy and you will be required to complete a project.

This highly-regarded qualification will allow you to apply for membership of the AAT (subject to meeting the work experience requirements) and further your career.

Entry requirements

Studying for the Level 4 qualification requires you to have completed the AAT Level 3 qualification or similar/equivalent.

Self study

Please also be aware that you will need to spend a considerable amount of time undertaking independent self-study to be successful.

It is also recommended that students re-acquaint themselves with the subject matter of their previous studies before starting the course.

Fees at the MET


Some of our Adult Professional courses can be funded by taking out a study loan called an Advanced Learner Loan. 

Advanced Learner Loans are similar to Higher Education loans. These loans are available to students aged 19+ studying at Level 3 or Level 4, including RQF Certificates and Diplomas and Access to HE Courses. Any courses applicable to these loans are marked.
