This Level 1 short course will help you develop an understanding of the role of the bookkeeper, including the need for accuracy and confidentiality at work. Construction

You will learn about the construction industry and gain practical skills during this 4-week introduction.

The course will cover an introduction to carpentry, bricklaying and dry lining and prepare you for the CSCS card test. You will meet contractors and attend live working sites and gain a Level 1 Health & safety in a Construction Environment qualification. You will also cover employability skills such as CV writing, job searching and applying and starting your own business.

Door Supervisor + CCTV Operator (SIA) & Employability Award

Graphic design

A fun, interactive course taught by creative media professionals covering an introduction to graphic design. You will learn how to create layouts, use typography and the basics of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop. Also, how to add QR codes and hyperlinks to create interactive pdfs. The course enables you to create a portfolio of work or self-promotional materials e.g. business cards, eye catching CVs and more. On successful completion of the course you will receive two accredited qualifications - a Level 2 Certificate in IT User Skills and a Level 1 Certificate in Interactive Media. Applicants should be comfortable working on computers and have an interest in design.
