Why this course?

This course is suitable for the complete beginner or the experienced student who wishes to find out more about the art of early peoples and civilisations - from cave painting to Cleopatra.
We shall be looking at the art of early human beings - cave paintings to Bronze and Iron Age, then onto ancient civilisations such as the Babylonians, Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans. We shall also look at the art of pre-industrialised cultures like Native Americans and Aborigines.
The course will incorporate exercises for learning assessment.
