Case study - Claud: Level 3 Diploma in Theatre Production | Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) - Art, Design & Media with Theatre Specialism

Claud successfully completed their Level 3 Diploma in Theatre Production at the MET in 2016, before going on to study the Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) -  Art, Design & Media with Theatre Specialism, at the MET in 2020.

Since finishing their course at the MET, Claud has gone on to work as a mental health and disability advocate, creative educator and inclusive arts practitioner.

Claud said, “I am currently working on some exciting inclusive arts projects as part of my MA and wish to do a PhD in the future, looking into theatre performance and technology for sensory engagement.”

Claud also said, ““The course at Level 3 inspired me to go on to pursue a career as an Inclusive Arts Practitioner, working across performance, and fusing this with technology in order to create work that makes an impact on the audience and society as a whole.”

Claud went on to complete a degree in theatre technologies at London South Bank University, before returning to GB MET to do the year-long postgraduate teaching qualification.

“Education is important, but it’s about choosing a path that is right for you. We all learn in different ways and through the theatre production course you will find different methods and opportunities to thrive within the theatre industry.”
