What apprenticeships are available?

There are three levels:

Intermediate - Level 2

Equivalent to five good GCSE passes


Apprentices work towards a qualification/skill such as an NVQ/Diploma Level 2, Functional Skills and in some areas a relevant technical certificate diploma. These provide the skills you need for your chosen career and allow progression on to an Advanced Apprenticeship.

Intermediate - Level 2

Advanced Apprenticeship

Equivalent to two A-level passes


Advanced Apprentices work towards a qualification/skill such as an NVQ/Diploma Level 3, Functional Skills and technical diploma. To start this programme you should ideally have five GCSEs (grade 9-4/A*-C) or have completed an apprenticeship at Level 2 and been assessed to progress to Level 3.

Higher Apprenticeships



For those who have completed a Level 3 qualification, Higher Apprenticeships are a nationally accredited work-based programme designed to meet employers' needs at a higher skill level and include qualifications equivalent to higher education (Level 4 and 5)

Traineeships - COMING SOON

Not ready for an apprenticeship but looking for real workplace experience?

Traineeships offer high quality work experience placements, structured with local employers to:

  • prepare you for your chosen industry
  • demonstrate you are work-ready
  • provide you with a current employer reference
  • increase your chances of getting a job or into an apprenticeship programme

The programme includes work placement, employability skills, English and maths, training and regular support.

Course start October, January, March and June.
