International Foundation Programme - Childhood and Youth Studies

The International Foundation Programme (IFP) is a one-year academic programme designed to prepare you for undergraduate study in the UK.

Course aims and areas

The Childhood and Youth Studies Programme is ideal if you are interested in teaching or social work.

This programme provides academic preparation for first year entry into university and will enable you to meet the minimum English language requirement for entry to your chosen undergraduate degree programme.

If you are interested in education or you would like to train to work with children and young people in teaching, social work or a related occupation, this course is ideal for you.

On this course you will look at the development of young people from psychological and sociological perspectives and consider the role of education in this process.
