Course aims and areas

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge required to become competent in supporting Health Professionals providing clinical healthcare.
The Level 2 supports the broad vision of the sector to develop an increasingly skilled, flexible and effective workforce whilst maintaining high quality care for patients.

The learner will develop their understanding and build on their knowledge and skills relevant to the healthcare sector.

Functional Skills may be required dependant on Apprenticeship framework and previous qualifications achieved.

Course Costs

Wages vary depending on the type of apprenticeship but there is a national minimum wage (NMW) in the UK which applies to all 16-18 year olds and to those aged 19 or over in the first year of their studies. From October 2017, this is £3.70 per hour. However, the MET encourages employers to pay at a higher hourly rate.
