Financial assistance

Support with fees and the costs of studying.

Help with costs

We may be able to provide financial assistance to help you with the cost of fees, equipment, child care or travel to the College. You don't need to be on benefits to be eligible.

We try to support those students most in need but our funds are limited and do run out, so you should apply as soon as you can.

How to apply

Guidelines and application forms for all our College funds are available from the Student Centre at our Central Campus.

Alongside completing the appropriate forms, you will need to provide evidence and details of your financial situation. We will then make an assessment based on your personal circumstances.

Our funds are limited and are offered at the discretion of the College.

If you need any assistance completing the application form, please ask one of the team in the Student Centre.

Advice for 16-18 year olds

If you are under 19 you will not have to pay any tuition or exam fees. However, there may be other course costs, such as materials and equipment. Please ensure you are aware of the costs before you start the course to avoid finding yourself in financial difficulty.

In addition to other costs such as materials and equipment, you should ensure you are aware of any other costs (such as childcare) before you start the course. Please pick up a copy of our financial assistance guidelines from the Student Centre if you feel that your finances may be a barrier to learning.

If you are 19+ and studying a Level 1 or 2 programme, or are aged 19-23 and do not have a full Level 3 or 4 qualification, information on bursary funding for the 2017/18 academic year is available here.

Your course may be eligible for an Advanced Learner Loan. Click here for more information about the Advanced Learner Loan. If your Advanced Learner Loan is approved, you may be eligible for the attached bursary
