British Sign language - Introduction, 10 week course
This course provides you with an introduction to the vocabulary and grammar of British Sign Language (BSL).
Course aims and areasYour study will include meeting people, exchanging personal information and describing objects and locations. It also features getting around, people and their lives, shopping, food and drink, numbers and quantities, calendars, emotions and weather.
The course is designed to enable students with little or no experience of BSL to acquire the basic ability to communicate with deaf people using sign language and also provide information about deaf people, the Deaf
community and Deaf culture.
