GCSE maths is an essential qualification for many jobs and this course aims to develop a positive attitude to maths and support you.

Start date: 10 September 2018 Timetable:Times for this course are flexible and will be advised on interview. Entry requirements: Your core maths skills will be assessed at interview to see if they are at the correct level, if not you will be advised on pre-GCSE courses available to you. End qualification: GCSE in Mathematics Awarding body: Pearson Course fees: Free if you do not already hold a grade 'C' or a grade 4 for the new syllabus. Assessment: You will be assessed at interview to ensure your core maths skills are at the correct level. If not, you will be advised on pre-GCSE courses available to you.

Course aims and areas

This course aims to develop a positive attitude towards maths and the ability to solve problems.

We hope that you will learn to enjoy using, applying and also discussing the subject with confidence, so as to gain a qualification much sought after by employers.

We are running the new 9-1 syllabus this year. Your progress is monitored throughout the course and your grade is decided by three final exams at the end of the course.
