Course aims and areas

This course differs from our other graphics courses by offering a more in-depth and comprehensive foundation in graphic design.

It explores a mix of idea generation, design theory and many practical hands-on graphic design workshops allowing learning at a higher level to ensure a high-quality professional portfolio.

You will cover both traditional and digital approaches to communicating through images and text, encompassing logo design and branding, typography, page layout, illustration, advertising, packaging and web graphics.

You may either be attempting to further your career potential, or wish to develop a design-based portfolio - in either case this course caters for your needs.

Photographer, audio-visual or broadcasting equipment operator

Typical Tasks:

  • Selects subject and conceives composition of picture or discusses composition with colleagues.

Graphic designer
