Course aims and areas

If you are currently working in HR or wish to do so, this nationally recognised qualification is a way in which to develop yourself as an effective HR professional.

The course covers understanding the role of HR within an organisational context, as well as how to record, analyse and use HR information effectively.

You will need to be able to set aside approximately two hours per week in order to complete this intensive study.

On completion, you can progress to our Level 5 course.

How to apply

Before starting the course it is recommended that you read articles on HR and work related issues and become more familiar with the wider HR area.

You will need to join the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development as a student member once the course commences.

You will need to attend an interview to enrol on this course, but no formal qualifications are required. It is preferential for you to have work experience in a related occupation such as management or recruitment roles.

If you achieve this qualification you can become associate members of the CIPD.
