Introduction to Web Design

This course will give you the basic skills you need to design and build your own website.

Course aims and areas

This course will give you the basic skills you need to design and build you own website to modern web standards.

During the course you will learn how to use HTML, stylesheets, design principles, optimise images for the web and be introduced to the essential components needed to put a site together and have it published.

Beginners are very welcome but you should be comfortable with tasks such as file management and installing.

To get the most from the course, you should have time to read, experiment and practise between sessions.

On completing this course you can move on to the Web Design 2 course.
