Course aims and areas

Seated round the fabulous fireplace of the panelled Macquoid room we go back in time to see how Edwardian families celebrated the festive season and how their servants prepared for it. We look at some customs, traditions, food and entertainments.

Bring a pack lunch to eat in the servant’s quarters. Tea and coffee supplied.

Why the MET?

This course will take place at the beautiful Preson Manor. This historic house, at the end of Preston Park, decorated in Edwardian style and with rooms on four floors, is a delightfully unique and hugely atmospheric setting.
