For university level courses.
The MET holds exhibitions of student work in art, design and media. Please check our events section for dates, times and venues.
October - November
We'll be holding open days during the autumn term.
During October, you should start working on your UCAS application and personal statement (see ucas.ac.uk). It is advisable to complete your application well before Christmas.
If you are currently at school or college, please ask your tutor for advice.
The official UCAS application deadline is in January. It is still possible to apply through UCAS after the official deadline date though.
February - May
UCAS will give you a deadline date in spring to accept an offer. You must officially accept the offer via UCAS before this date in order to secure your place.
You can now apply for your student finance via gov.uk/studentfinance. The deadline for finance applications is normally May.
If you have not yet applied to the MET, but you applied to other universities and did not receive any offers, there is a chance to apply in the spring using UCAS Extra. UCAS will inform you if you are eligible to use UCAS Extra.
July - August
It is still possible to apply through the UCAS Clearing system, which lists any remaining vacancies on courses.
In the summer you will receive your final grades from your school or college. If you haven’t achieved the grades you need for entry to your choice of degree course, you may be able to find a place on another course through Clearing. To find out whether the MET has any vacancies at this time, you can contact us directly via firstname.lastname@example.org.
