BTEC Level 3 Nationals attract UCAS points in the same way as A-levels.There are several “sizes” of BTEC Level 3 National. At Northbrook College, you can achieve the BTEC Level 3 Extended Certificate in Business during the first year, which is equivalent to one A-Level. You will also study additional units towards Extended Diploma, studied in Year 2. At the end of the second year, you will have achieved a full 3 A-level equivalent qualification.

Entry requirements
At least four GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, including English and maths.
If you do not have these grades, you can start on the Level 1 Get Started Business course

Why the MET?
This course has been developed in collaboration with businesses and universities to teach a range of work-ready business skills covering marketing, finance, customer service and management. You will learn through practical projects and assignments based on realistic workplace situations. Group and individual work will develop your skills, including research, writing skills and meeting deadlines.

What's next?
On successful completion of the Subsidiary Diploma, you can progress to the Level 3 Extended Diploma.
On successful completion of Level 3, you could apply to university, start an apprenticeship or seek employment. 80% of our Level 3 Extended Diploma students progress to university.

This course is free (you do not have to pay fees) if:
- You are a UK citizen, hold EU Settlement Status or have a visa which could qualify you for home status.
- AND you are under 19 on 31 August in the year you are studying.
