Catering & Hospitality | Certificate in Professional Food and Beverage Service Skills | Level 2
This City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate will develop your food service skills including bar service, silver service and table theatre in our industry-standard kitchens and restaurant.
Our popular fine dining restaurant and industrial kitchens provide an ideal environment to learn the skills needed for a career in hospitality. You will serve food produced in our restaurant, developing food service and customer care skills. You have the option to split the course over two years, studying food and beverage service in the first year and professional cookery in the second, or compress both into one year.
There will be opportunities to work with celebrity chefs, trips and visits to hotels and restaurants and experience gained from events throughout the year.
Please note: Applications for courses starting in September 2020 will be processed in late October 2019.
Start at Level 2 if you have at least 3 GCSEs at grade 3 (D/E) or above, including English and maths.
After Level 2 you can seek employment or progress to Level 3, either full-time or as an apprentice.
This course will introduce you to professional food and beverage service for the catering and hospitality industry.

At Level 2 you have the option to split the course over two years; food and beverage in the first year and professional cookery in the second.

After Level 2 you can seek employment or progress to the Level 3 course and gain a City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Food and Beverage Service Supervision, either full-time or as an apprentice.

UK and EU students do not have to pay fees if they are under 19 on 31 August in the year they are studying.
