Why this course?

Learn how to create decorative ceramics for the garden including bird feeders, garden bells/chimes and plant stake toppers using hand building techniques.
Your tutor will demonstrate a range of hand building techniques such as pinching, extruding and slab work to make a variety of decorative garden ceramics. Students will have the opportunity to make the garden ornaments of their choice and decorate them with coloured slip. Work will be fired and ready for collection at a later date.

Course content
Bring along lots of enthusiasm together with images/designs that you would like to replicate on your tile or wall piece. Pinterest is a great resource for inspiration if you're stuck!
Materials for this course are included in the course fee. Please wear old clothes- preferably trousers as you will be sitting astride a wheel - an overall/apron and strong, flat, closed-toe footwear.
