Ceramics Workshop | Beginners
Why this course?

This workshop is an ideal introduction to ceramics for beginners but is also suitable for those with some experience or if you have already attended a previous workshop and want to continue to work on your own projects.
By the end of the course you will be able to use clay with creative confidence. You can go on to explore the uses of clay, throwing, hand building, coiling, slab building, slip casting and sculpting, as well as various glazes and oxides.
Due to the large ceramic/pottery provision offered throughout the college, please note that firing of work is not simultaneous and at some points during the year it can take longer than we would wish. Your tutor will however aim to get your work fired in a reasonable timeframe.
