If you are hardworking, patient, and love working with children, a childcare course at Brighton MET could be for you. Working with children and young people is a fantastically rewarding career path and if you aspire to be an early years or childcare professional there are many jobs in this field including: childcare assistants, nursery nurses and childcare development officers.

At Brighton MET, we offer a range of qualifications and apprenticeships in Childcare. Our tutors have professional industry experience and have valuable knowledge that they’ll be able to share with you. Brighton MET also works closely with local employers to ensure that our study programmes meet their needs.

On our courses, you’ll gain hands-on experience of working with children and you’ll learn all about subjects such as child development, safe environments for children, children and play, communication systems and professional practice. The placements we provide with local day centres and nurseries could also open the door to full-time employment at the end of your course.

    This training aims to provide an opportunity for apprentices to demonstrate their knowledge and skills of caring for children.

    If you have a genuine interest in working with young children, then this is the course for you. You will gain a qualification that gives you the underpinning knowledge needed to work with children aged 0-7 in a range of settings.
