College update: Friday 13 November 2020
Dear students, parents and carers,
Throughout the current national lockdown, we remain focused on delivering teaching, learning and support services to all of our students in a COVID-19 safe college.
I am pleased to say that due to the vigilance of our staff and students, and the safety measures we have in place, the number of confirmed cases within the College remains very low. There is no evidence of transmission happening within our campuses and those cases that have been reported to us have not been unwell enough to require hospitalisation.
To date, we have only had 32 confirmed cases across all five of our sites.
Positive cases of COVID-19 since March 2020

For our HE students, we appreciate that you may be anxious about returning home for the Christmas break. The Government has stated that face-to-face teaching should finish by Wednesday 9 December to allow sufficient time for you to return home allowing for any required self-isolation period. We had already committed to finishing face-to-face teaching by Friday 4 December but are still finalising the arrangements for individual programmes. We will be in touch with further detail soon.
Once again, please can I remind you to use our dedicated COVID-19 absence reporting process for any suspected or confirmed cases, continue to follow the ‘hands, face and space’ guidance, download and use the NHS COVID-19 app.
