The UK construction industry is constantly changing and developing the way in which it meets the challenges of creating the built environment – and that’s where it needs you!

Brighton MET College offers fantastic facilities to students who wish to enter in to the construction or engineering industries. Our dedicated Construction & Trades Centre is located at our East Brighton campus and offers a variety of Diplomas in this popular sector.

We offer the following courses:

STUDY CARPENTRY, MULTI-TRADES OR A T LEVEL

Employers and the government require people who can develop the skills required to design, create and build homes, schools, libraries and hospitals for future generations.

We offer a number of carpentry, joinery and multi-trades courses suitable for all levels of skill. You will learn on professional tools and machinery, guided by expert staff in high tech classrooms.

We also offer a T level in Design, Surveying & Planning aimed at those interested in these routes and careers in principles of design, building technology, and business and commerce.

On our full time courses there are opportunities for work experience and our apprenticeships provide on-the-job training.

Study Electrical

The Electrical department offers a range of courses which can take you from Level 1 to Level 3.

Depending on what level of training or education you’re currently at, you’ll develop skills and experience in working safely in an engineering environment; forming and assembling cable containment; wiring and testing electrical equipment; maintaining electrical systems and assembling electronic circuits.

Study Plumbing

The Plumbing department offers a range of courses to kick-start your career as a plumber.

STUDY PLUMBING

Would you like to gain the skills and training required to enter the plumbing industry? Would you like a career that can be very financially rewarding? The plumbing industry continues to grow and is very competitive – our courses have been designed to give you the skills and confidence to get out there into the workplace, winning jobs and contracts.
