Art students share the love this Colleges Week
Art students from Brighton MET have demonstrated their love for their College by taking part in an ‘art attack’ to decorate their studio walls.
The students created heart shaped artwork to coincide with Colleges Week, run by the Association of Colleges, which is a chance to celebrate all the things that colleges do to build communities, boost businesses and support individuals.
Students from across the art & design department painted the walls of their studios with hearts and messages of love for the College, as well as creating prints, digital media work and illustrations.
This is especially poignant as it marks the final months before students and staff say goodbye to the old buildings and move into new facilities which form part of the Brighton Central Campus redevelopment project.
Curriculum Manager, Georgina Hooper, said,“This was a liberating opportunity to bring the studios to life, whilst driving home the thoughts and feelings of the power of FE and what college life is. We are in uncertain times, but we are a creative community and still able to express ourselves!”
