Art students' success with TikTok, Size? and Converse

Degree students from our BA (Hons) Fashion Design and BA (Hons) Textiles Design courses have been involved in projects with social media sensation TikTok, and shoe companies Size? and Converse.

Taking inspiration from the social media brand TikTok,  Emma Kennedy created a tie-dye dress to suit a variety of body types, which successfully landed her a place on a week-long residency with TikTok and the Graduate Fashion Foundation.

Isabelle Dance and Ann-Marie Salisbury took part in a project with shoe company Size? and shoe brand Converse. The project saw them design patches for the iconic Chuck Taylor All Star “high top”. Isabelle was inspired by the symbolic reference to the term ‘Queen bee’ for her designs, while Ann-Maire chose to work with an upcycled piece of fabric she had designed, creating circular patches.
