GCSE results

New students

We appreciate that the last few months have been a really unsettling time and you may be feeling anxious about receiving your results. Your school is due to issue your results to you on Thursday 20 August. In line with the Government's announcement, these will be the grades your school submitted to the awarding body (unless the calculated grade was higher).

Here at the MET, we had already committed to using teacher-recommended grades when assessing whether applicants have met the required entry criteria. This is in addition to the College’s existing guarantee that all applicants will have a place at the MET, regardless of their results.

If you have applied to study on one of our programmes for school-leavers, you will have been invited to attend one of our Course Confirmation sessions over the course of the next few weeks. You will need to bring your GCSE results with you. Please attend your session whatever your grades - there will still be a place for you at the College.

If you're unable to attend the session you were invited to, please come to the specified campus on one of the following days at the original time slot you were invited to:

  • Wednesday 2 September
  • Thursday 3 September
  • Friday 4 September

Please note that these sessions take place at either our Central Brighton or West Durrington Campuses. Your invite will specify which you should attend - this may not be the campus you are due to study at.
