Illustration students exhibit at London Book Fair
Illustration students at Brighton MET have been working on an international project, which has led to an exhibition of their work at the prestigious London Book Fair.
The students, mentored by Lithuanian Illustrator Ackvile Miseviciute, created their own narratives in leporello or concertina book form, which have been published by Nobrow Press.
Foundation Illustration student Emily Cox (pictured below), who created the book ‘Olive’s Hotel for Mice’, was selected to take part in a conference in Tallinn, which took place in June.
She said. “The two days were really exciting, I felt so lucky to be in contact with so many other young creatives who were in different stages of their careers. I got a lot of good advice from people and exchanged ideas about style and marketing my work, and I’ve also made some new friends.”
The live project was funded by a number of organisations including the Arts Council, and involved the Baltic Nations and Pop-Up Projects,
