Why this course?

Want to write more, improve your technique, or just want to get started? Then this workshop-based course aims to move your writing forward. Through group and individual work, we will explore various forms of creative writing.        

You will cover several topics in class, including: generating ideas; characterisation; plotting; structure; dialogue; research; creating tension and pace; location and setting; themes, and also marketing your work.               

Please note: poetry, scriptwriting and screenwriting are not covered on this course.

Tutor Sue Walker is a novelist published by Penguin. She has over 20 years’ experience as an investigative television journalist and has extensive experience of running courses and workshops as a creative writing tutor.
