Decorative Finishing and Industrial Painting - Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship

Course Type: Apprenticeships Start Date: January 2020 Duration: 1 Year

Course aims:

This training is aimed at apprentices aged 16 and above who work or want to work in the construction industry and specialise in the area of painting and decorating.

Our apprenticeships are aimed at people wishing to learn some skills in painting and decorating, to progress on to becoming skilled in their chosen trade, or to progress through an apprenticeship and work towards becoming a master craftsman.

Our tutors have many years’ experience on site as tradesmen alongside their teaching experience which means you’re getting excellent training that will help you reach your employment goals.

Apprenticeships are available for school leavers and adults (19+), beginning at Level 2 through to degree level.

What levels are available?

Wages vary depending on the type of apprenticeship but there is a national minimum wage (NMW) in the UK which applies to all 16-18 year olds and to those aged 19 or over in the first year of their studies. From October 2017, this is £3.50 per hour. However, the MET encourages employers to pay at a higher hourly rate.
