Why this course?
This photography course will give you the practical skills needed to raise the standard of your photographs to a higher level.
You will learn about the range of technical skills needed to get the most out of a digital SLR camera, including using the aperture, managing shutter speed, depth of field and using a tripod.
You will also look at studio lighting, flash photography, natural lighting, colour temperature and colour management, as well as learning about the digital imaging program Adobe Photoshop.

Brighton MET Visual Arts department has an extensive and well-equipped range of practical working environments and art studios
3D printer, laser cutting machine, large scale ink jet printer, Canon EOS DSLR cameras, Mac animation suite, photographic suite
Plaster, ceramics and glass workshops, printmaking workshop (screen, lino, metal and dry point etching)
3D wood, metal and plastics workshop including a forge, a pattern cutting room and fashion studios
This digital photography course is aimed at learners who have completed a beginner’s course or have a basic understanding of exposure.
You will use many practical skills needed to raise the standards of your photographs up to a higher level.
There will be practical exercises in street photography, still life, landscape, flash, portraiture and composition. You will also use camera flash photography, natural lighting, advanced

Band (A) £185.00: If you are not claiming any housing benefits, you will need to pay the full course cost.
Band (B) £139.00: For those claiming housing benefit, council tax benefit, income support or pension credit.
Band (C) £93.00: For jobseekers claiming JSA or ESA.
