Drawing | Pen & Wash

This course covers pen and ink drawing and the popular watercolour technique of line and wash. It is an ideal introduction to watercolour painting and perfect for those who enjoy using water-based media.

On this course you will gain a range of new skills including: drawing with artists' sketching pens/dip-pen, mark-making, colour theory, colour mixing and basic skills in watercolour painting. You will also learn about artists past and present who use these techniques in fine art and illustration.

By the end of the course you will be able to show that you have: practised the technique of pen and wash, made decisions on subject and composition, produced at least 4 finished pieces of artwork and assessed your own progress on the course. Suitable for all abilities.
