Dressmaking | Introduction to Pattern Cutting - Skirts
Why this course?

This course is aimed at intermediate sewists who want to learn the basic pattern cutting techniques, with the aim of creating their own simple (skirt) sewing patterns that fit their personal body shape.
Students will learn how to take accurate body measurements, draft a skirt block (or template), make fit adjustments to their personal body shape, and the pattern cutting techniques to create a simple sewing pattern for a skirt. By the end of the course you will be able to draft a skirt block from your own measurements, identify and make simple fit adjustments and create a sewing pattern for a simple skirt design.
In addition to the cost fees, students will be required to purchase their own material, pattern and sewing sundries.
