Floristry | Introduction
Why this course?
Through this course you will learn to create bespoke floral arrangements using a wide variety of flowers, foliages and sundries. Some traditional elements of floristry will be taught along with the care and conditioning of your flowers.
This course is suitable for those with little experience and complete beginners.
Please note you will be required to bring along your own floristry scissors and a floristry sundry kit, approximately £10 (a list will be given prior to the first session). Students will need to purchase their own flowers and foliage for each class - approximate cost £20 per week.

I wanted a change of career. I'm currently a Dental Nurse but would love to become a Florist. I have absolutely loved the Floristry Introduction course at Northbrook Metropolitan College and I'll be starting the Intermediate course in January. I am still very hopeful that I will get my dream job in Floristry!
Why the MET
Greater Brighton Metropolitan College (MET) was created from the merger of City College Brighton and Northbrook College. It draws on 150 years of heritage, history and experience. We operate across five campuses in Brighton, Shoreham and Worthing, and teach around 7,500 adult learners.

Additional costs
A tool box list will be provided at the start of the course which is a list of sundries items you will need. The overall cost of this is approximately £10-£15.
