Game Asset Development - BA (Hons) Degree
This is the third-year top-up course following the two-year FdA (Foundation Degree) in Games Development.
Students will focus on the requirements for producing a range of assets for game prototypes.
Individual students will be expected to focus on the development of particular types of asset, such as modelling, level design, coding, animation or sound – working with other students to build game prototypes from these assets.

PCs in the teaching rooms are regularly updated with a range of industry-standard software. Students also have access to flexible learning areas where they can seek support from specialist staff for a range of software applications, publications and databases. The Games team have created links to a number of regionally based companies such as Mind Candy, Creative Assembly, Brightrock Games and Nearlight.

Students could also progress to further study at Masters level or undertake a PGCE (teaching qualification). Relevant Masters courses could include: MA Game Development (Design) or MSc Game Development (Programming) at University of Kingston; MA Game Design and Development at NFTS; MSc Creative Technologies at University of Portsmouth; MA Digital Media Arts or MSc Digital Media Production at University of Brighton.
