Foundation Learning Gateway courses at Brighton MET

For students requiring additional support

These SEND courses cater for 16-25 year olds with mild/moderate learning difficulties, behavioral or social needs. These courses are also suitable for people with mental health concerns.

You will gain skills and confidence through activities such as external day trips, community volunteering and work experience. You will also have opportunities to try vocational courses at the College in areas such as catering, construction and music.

Courses include literacy, numeracy and IT, as well as jobs search and employability skills.

On a Gateway course you will build your self-confidence and self-esteem through working within small classes and achieve appropriate qualifications at Entry Level or Level 1 to provide you with progression opportunities.

General Gateway courses are offered at both our Central Brighton and Broadwater campuses. Gateway catering is offered at our Central Brighton Campus only.
