Creative Writing | Inspired by Favourite Writings
Why this course?
Learn how contemporary writers and poets tackle issues such as viewpoint, scene setting and dialogue, to make your own writing memorable and readable. Students will have an opportunity to share their favourite authors and explain how they have been inspired by them.
As students bring in their own work to read and the variety of writing they experience makes for a stimulating and creative atmosphere. There is also a teaching focus or structured writing task each week.
By the end of the course you will be able to understand how professional writers, from a range of genres, deal with some of the major technical issues in modern writing.
For students of all abilities.This course is not suitable for students only interested in writing film or TV scripts.
