Course Aims:

Developing Rich Internet Applications is a complex process requiring skills in HTML, CSS, client side and server side programming.

This course provides an introduction to modern standard compliant web design. 

You will learn to write HTML and CSS in a text editor to produce standard compliant web pages and how to program a client side programming language (JavaScript and JQuery) to make pages dynamic and interactive. 

Responsive web design techniques which allow web pages to be viewed on both desktop and mobile clients are also introduced. 

This course is suitable for teachers wishing to introduce coding into the curriculum. 

A sister course covers server side scripting using PHP/MySQL, which successful graduates may wish to take to progress their skills.
