This qualification is ideal for individuals who are new to managing and/or have first line management responsibilities but no formal training, and are serious about developing their abilities. On successful completion of this course, students can go on to study a Level 4 qualification or the ILM Level 5 Certificate in Leadership and Management.
After this course, you may gain the confidence, knowledge and experience to move onto a new, more senior role. An ILM qualification can help you to secure a promotion with your current organisation or an external one, roles include:

You are expected to be a ILM member to study this qualification which will incur an additional fee. As part of this membership you will gain access to a wealth of online study support, learning materials such as podcasts, videos, research reports and fact-sheets.
ILM also advises you to purchase up to three text books to support your learning on the course.
