Motor Vehicle – City and Guilds Level 2 Award in MOT Testing (Classes 4 and 7)
Why this course?
If you want to become a qualified MOT tester, you will need to successfully complete this qualification which was developed with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).
Successful completion of the course will lead to your final part of the MOT qualification. This is an onsite assessment by a DVSA inspector of you carrying out a full MOT test.
Please note: To complete this course you must be over 21 and hold a valid driving license for the class of vehicle you wish to test. A minimum of 4 years experience within the trade and a Level 3 qualification are also required.

You must hold the appropriate industry-recognised qualifications at Level 3 and have an appropriate length of service within the trade (minimum of four years) prior to undertaking the qualification.
You must also hold the required driving licence for the class of vehicle you wish to test.
This course is only open to applicants over the age of 21.
Our motor vehicle workshop will provide you with full testing ability from emissions to brake testing and using the latest in MOT testing equipment. Our classrooms all have online computers and are equipped with the best training resources so you will have everything you need in order to successfully pass the qualification.

On successful completion of this qualification, you can progress on to the Level 3 Award in MOT Testing Centre Management.
