Transform your passion for music into a career with this exciting course, designed to develop a range of creative music production skills. Based in our state-of-the-art recording studio complex and taught by music industry professionals, you will experience studio recording, mixing, computer-based composition and sound for TV and computer games, as well learning about the music industry. You can also get involved in our student radio, record labels and gigs.

Entry Requirements

This fast track option is available to prospective students who can demonstrate experience in the subject area.

You should have at least 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, preferably including English and maths. More mature students with higher qualifications or experience may be able to join the one-year Fast Track course, designed to prepare you for entry to university.

If you do not have the above grades, you can start on the Level 2 introductory course.

Further study

You can progress to university level, either at the MET or at other universities. Degrees at Northbrook MET include Music Production, Music Business & Management or Music Performance. Brighton MET also offers an FdA/ BA degree in Creative Music Production.
