Northbrook College’s Art and Design students will participate in the upcoming Worthing Festival

Northbrook College’s art and design students will participate in the upcoming Worthing Festival: a week-long celebration of local talent in music, dance, art, heritage, comedy, and workshops. The festival will take place in various venues and open spaces across the borough from June 10 to June 18 2023.

The festival has been created by Worthing Borough Council's official place brand, Time for Worthing, to shine a spotlight on the town's cultural talent. As part of the festival Northbrook College held a competition to design the festival's branding. Jessica Galbraith, a recent graduate of Northbrook's Makeup and Hair for Theatre and Media degree course, won the competition.

In addition to the design competition, Northbrook College's art and design students will showcase their work at the festival through exhibitions and workshops - giving them an opportunity to gain exposure, build their portfolios, and connect with the wider community.

"We are delighted to be involved in the Worthing Festival and to have the opportunity to showcase the creative talent of our students," said a spokesperson for Northbrook College. "The festival is a wonderful platform for our students to contribute to the cultural richness of Worthing."

With dozens of individuals and groups already registered to participate in the festival, including local entertainers, venues, leisure providers, restaurants, pubs, and bars, the Worthing Festival promises to be a vibrant celebration of the town's cultural scene.

The involvement of Northbrook College's art and design students in the Worthing Festival highlights the institution's commitment to providing opportunities for students to showcase their creativity and engage with the community.
