This short course is suitable for learners already working in education and health and social care settings.
This qualification is designed to increase learners’ awareness and understanding of behaviour that challenges. By completing the qualification, learners will develop in-depth knowledge of behaviour that challenges which could support progression onto other appropriate qualifications and into relevant employment in the education or health and social care sectors.
Learners are required to undertake the following units:
- Unit 1 - Understand behaviour that challenges
- Unit 2 - Understand how to support positive behaviour
- Unit 3 - Understand the importance of effective communication and the management of behaviour that challenges
- Unit 4 - Understand the role of reflection and support for those involved in incidents of behaviour that challenges
This course is free/government funded if you are 19+ at the start of the academic year, you live in England (some regional exclusions apply, including Greater London) and have lived in the UK for the last 3 years. Find out if you are eligible for funding.
The guided learning hours for this course are 130. Students generally spend 8-10 hours on their course each week and complete within 8 weeks.
