Why this course?

This qualification is suitable for learners who wish to raise awareness of mental health, creating a culture of care and promoting positive mental health. This qualification will give you the opportunity to understand mental health, its associated care and how this can be applied to learners or colleagues in the workplace.
The purpose of this qualification is to give you the skills to support colleagues with mental health problems. These skills will be gained by increasing your knowledge and understanding of mental health conditions and the principles of mental health first aid and how this can be implemented.

This course is free/government funded if you are 19+ at the start of the academic year, you live in England (some regional exclusions apply, including Greater London) and have lived in the UK for the last 3 years. Find out if you are eligible for funding.
