This qualification is ideal for a wide range of learners with some existing knowledge of this area.
There aren’t any specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. However candidates ideally need to be working in health and social care or related sectors.

Learners are required to undertake the following units:
- Unit 1 Understand medication and prescriptions
- Unit 2 Supply, storage and disposal of medication
- Unit 3 Understand the requirements for the safe administration of medication
- Unit 4 Record keeping and audit processes for medication administration and storage
You will gain the CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding the Safe Handling of Medication in Health and Social Care (QCF 13 Credits).
This course is free if you are 19 years+ and have lived in the UK/EU for 3 years.
