Course aims:

This ILM Level 3 qualification is suited to those who are new to managing and/or have first line management responsibilities, but no formal training and are serious about developing their abilities and progressing into a management role.

This course particularly supports practising team leaders seeking to move up to the next level of management and managers who need to lead people though organisational change, budget cuts or other pressures.

Gain a range of management skills that you can apply to your role, including; building your leadership capabilities; motivating and engaging teams; performance management; and managing work relationships.

This e-learning qualification is ideal for individuals who wish to study remotely and takes 7 months to complete on average. This course is eligible for an Advanced Learner Loan enabling you to study without paying for the course until you earn £25k +.

Entry requirements

There are no formal requirements needed to study ILM Level 3 Diploma in Leadership and Management.

You must be able to commit to studying online.

Over 200 hours of study are required to complete the qualification by submitting assignments and coursework online. By studying online you have the flexibility to fit the course around your day-to-day work and lifestyle without needing to attend a class.

Your work will be assessed by a team of qualified ILM tutors.

Online learning

This is an e-learning course delivered remotely enabling you to study in your own time from home.

This course provides:

  • A platform to fast track your career and progress within the management
  • Practical application of management theories, models and frameworks.en to the public and offer exceptional value
  • Online access to course documents, resources and study support through the MET’s virtual learning environment

You will be required to study via a virtual learning portal and submit your assignments online (one per module). You will be required to upload work, draft written theory and responses to questions online and show supporting evidence in a digital format.

You will have a dedicated e-learning assessor and support from ILM qualified tutors at the MET.

On successful completion of this course, students can go onto study a Level 4 qualification or the ILM Level 5 Certificate in Leadership and Management.

Course fees: £1,987.00

Funding - Advanced Learner Loan This course is eligible for an Advanced Learner Loan. This Government approved loan is similar to the higher education student loan. You borrow the money to study and then repay the loan once you are earning over £25,000 per year. In order to apply for the loan you must live in England and have been living in the UK/EU/EEA for the last 3 years.

ILM Membership You are expected to be a ILM member to study this qualification which will incur an additional fee. As part of this membership you will gain access to online learning materials such as podcasts, videos, reports and factsheets. ILM also advises you to purchase text books to support your learning on the course.
