Textiles | Mixed Media Textile Art
Why this course?

On this course, you will learn to develop design ideas and will assemble unique pieces of textile art. You will learn to create unique surfaces using a gel plate and mono-printing techniques and will embellish them with applique, collage and hand stitching. No specialist equipment is needed, so you will be able to recreate all of these processes at home.
Everyone is welcome and no previous experience is required.
A list of materials will be provided, please allow £10-£15.

Northbrook MET is renowned for its Creative Industries courses, which take place within the fantastic facilities at our West Durrington Campus. Our state-of-the-art studios and workshops are equipped for a wide range of art and design disciplines including painting and drawing, 3D design, textiles and fashion, graphics, printmaking, wood, metal, ceramics, plaster and photography. Our IT suites have Macs and PCs and our extensive learning resources facilitate the research that will accompany your practical work.
